Most people dread getting portraits or headshots—feeling awkward, overly self-critical, or unsure what to do in front of the camera. As an actor, I know that feeling well. I’ve been on your side of the lens, so I understand the pressure to look natural, confident, and authentically yourself, whether the audience is your clients, your agent, or your industry.
That’s why my sessions are built to be the opposite of the stiff, uncomfortable experience most people expect. They feel like a relaxed conversation, guided by someone who knows how vulnerable this process can be. We use music to keep things easy, adjust as we go, and create an environment where you can actually feel at ease—no awkward posing or dentist-office vibes (no shade on dentists!).

FAQ’s
What wardrobe should I bring?
Bring options on hangers that make you look and feel good.
Do’s:
- Solid colors, t-shirts, blouses
- Collared shirts to pair with a jacket
- Sweaters, cardigans
- Subtle accessories (e.g. necklace, earrings)
- Wear bottoms that are versatile in case you are photographed 3/4 body
- Your shoes will not be in the photographs.
- Iron your clothes before your session. Nothing is worse than having wrinkled clothing in all of your images.
Don’ts:
- All white top
- Distracting patterns
- Visible name brands
- Ill-fitting, stained, wrinkled clothing (sounds obvious, but you’d be surprised)
I will consult with you at the top of your session to help finalize your look.
What is a look?
A look is one outfit and backdrop. Removing/adding eyeglasses or jacket is part of the same look.
If you are interested in getting two looks (two outfits, two backgrounds), then please book two sessions.
Will there be a make-up artist?
No, you can apply your own or set up a separate appointment with a make-up counter, but be certain it does not conflict or run late with your session. Make-up should be more towards a natural look, but at your best. The camera needs help so you will be applying more make-up than normal, but not a glamour look. For men, at minimum, you can control shine with blotting sheets that can be purchased at drugstores or wherever make-up is sold. Color correction cream works wonders to even out skin tone.
Is the session only 30 minutes?
Your total booked time will be 1 hour. Of that, 30-40 minutes will be in front of the camera which is more than enough time. The remainder will be used at the top of the session for wardrobe consultation and changing if necessary, and a few minutes at the end to wrap.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Arrive a few minutes early to park (street). Please show up camera ready with make-up and hair done. If you are bringing wardrobe options, then wear your first choice and we’ll look at your choices.
Term’s and Conditions
Scheduling / Cancellation
Sessions are confirmed with advanced payment. There are no refunds for cancellation. Please be certain you are available for the selected time slot before submitting payment. If you must cancel, then a credit towards a regularly priced session ($375) will be applied on a future date.
Digital Processing and Delivery
Images will undergo light adjustments (brightness, contrast, color). All images will be delivered via download link to your email within 7 business days. (1) retouched image of your choice is included. Additional retouched images are $35/ea.
